Bye, Twitter

Here’s my old account on Twitter. I’ve been on it since 2008 but sadly stopped publishing anything after Elon Musk took it over.

This move corresponds with my beliefs about not supporting (or being around) arrogant and toxic people, which is how I perceive Musk as a person.

The way he manages Twitter and his decisions keep me away from this service, so I decided that everything I have to say (publicly) will be posted on my own space — this website.

In the meantime, I’m looking around and checking whether Mastodon is a good replacement. I’ve been following / reading some people on that service for a while, but recently I’ve created an account for myself.

Mastodon brings up something I missed about the other social media — the sense of the “old Web”.

Is there a chance that I’ll be back on Twitter? I don’t know. Time will tell…
